楊双子,為台灣小說家、大眾文學與次文化研究者。「楊双子」是他與已故雙胞胎妹妹楊若暉共用的筆名,並特意選用日文漢字「双子」以致敬妹妹對日本歷史的研究。
楊双子的創作領域涵蓋百合小說、歷史小說、散文及漫畫原作,作品多以台灣歷史為背景,融合女性情感與性別議題。
2018年,作為婚姻平權公投小組的發起人之一;2024年,楊双子的作品《臺灣漫遊錄》日文版獲得第10屆日本翻譯大賞,英文版則榮獲美國國家圖書獎,成為首位獲得該獎項的台灣作家;2025年,擔任台灣文學作家連署發起小組召集人,號召台灣人加入罷免藍白兩黨之行動。
Profile
Yang Shuang-zi is a Taiwanese novelist and researcher of popular literature and subcultures. The pen name “Yang Shuang-zi” was shared with his late twin sister, Yang Ruo-hui, and deliberately uses the Japanese kanji “双子” to honor her work on Japanese history.
Yang Shuang-zi’s creative works span yuri fiction, historical novels, essays, and manga originals, often set against Taiwanese historical backdrops and exploring female emotions and gender issues.
In 2018, he was one of the initiators of a marriage equality referendum committee. In 2024, the Japanese edition of his work Taiwan Travelogue won the 10th Japan Translation Prize, while the English edition received the National Book Award, making him the first Taiwanese writer to earn this honor. In 2025, he served as convener of a Taiwanese literary writers’ petition initiative, mobilizing citizens to participate in the recall movement against the Kuomintang and the Taiwan People’s Party.
